This portable threshold ramp is made of durable and versatile glas reinforced plastic. - carrying capacityof 40 stone, , this folding threshold ramp has a weight of 7kg., is 26" wide and 47.25" long

Indoor threshold ramps are for overcoming small steps in the home, or at work. Outdoor ramps can overcome steps and can be fitted with either one or two handrails. These can be permanent ramps or portable ramps. If the ramp installation is permanent then a fibreglass ramp with a handrail would be more appropriate.

How Long Does My Ramp Need To Be? If you are looking to buy a mobility ramp for your scooter, power chair or wheelchair, remember that the maximum slope for a wheelchair ramp should be 1" rise for every 12" of length (4.8° angle, or 8.3% gradient). For a mobility scooter or power chair this is 1.5" rise for 12" length (7.1° or 12.5% gradient).

What is Vat Exemption?

What is Vat Exemption
Most of our customers are exempt from VAT by virtue of their chronic disability. However, certain products are not eligible for Vat relief , so a description of the VAT status is given along with the price of all items within the shop . If you qualify for VAT exemption then you will need to complete the self-decleration of exemption on this site , just prior to completing the checkout process . The checkout stage will give an indication as to the amount of VAT that is being collected on behalf of the Revenue by us !

You are exempt from paying VAT on the items as relevant if :

Individuals : If you are chronically sick or disabled and the products are for your personal use. You do not need a Doctors letter or other such documentation. Full details can be found at

Charities : Where the goods are made available by the charity to a disabled person for their personal or domestic use. Full details can be found at
HM Customs and Excise, Notice 701/7, Supplies to charities.

Buying for someone else : If you are buying this product for or on behalf of someone who is chronically sick or disabled and the product(s) is for their personal use.

Non-eligible customers : If you are not eligible for VAT relief, we are obliged to charge you the full 17.5% VAT on the whole of your order.
