Ramps come in all shapes and sizes, often being used in the home, the garden or out and about to get in and out of cars.
For a sturdier ramp, broad ramps are often the solution. These usually come in fixed widths and lengths such as the one offered above.
How long does my ramp need to be?
If you are looking to buy a mobility ramp for your scooter, power chair or wheelchair, remember that the maximum slope for a wheelchair ramp should be 1" of rise for every 12" of length (4.8 angle, or 8.3% gradient). For a mobility scooter or power chair this should be 1.5" of rise for 12" length (7.1 or 12.5% gradient).
