The Bariatric Atlantic Commode and Shower Chair is stylish, easily manoeuvrable and very easy to clean, with a weight capacity of 225kg (35st), and is available in two seat widths: 51cm (20") and 56cm (22") to accommodate a wider variety of patients.

All our Atlantic Commodes and Shower Chairs are manufactured from plastic coated steel, with a speckled finish, making the range more stylish and aesthetically pleasing and are ideal, where infection control is an issue.

All upholstery and casters are colour co-ordinated in blue.
All castors are fitted with brakes for additional safety.
The multi function innovative arms are: swing back; drop down; detachable and come complete with a new design easy to operate hygienic arm catch.

What is Vat Exemption?

What is Vat Exemption
Most of our customers are exempt from VAT by virtue of their chronic disability. However, certain products are not eligible for Vat relief , so a description of the VAT status is given along with the price of all items within the shop . If you qualify for VAT exemption then you will need to complete the self-decleration of exemption on this site , just prior to completing the checkout process . The checkout stage will give an indication as to the amount of VAT that is being collected on behalf of the Revenue by us !

You are exempt from paying VAT on the items as relevant if :

Individuals : If you are chronically sick or disabled and the products are for your personal use. You do not need a Doctors letter or other such documentation. Full details can be found at

Charities : Where the goods are made available by the charity to a disabled person for their personal or domestic use. Full details can be found at
HM Customs and Excise, Notice 701/7, Supplies to charities.

Buying for someone else : If you are buying this product for or on behalf of someone who is chronically sick or disabled and the product(s) is for their personal use.

Non-eligible customers : If you are not eligible for VAT relief, we are obliged to charge you the full 17.5% VAT on the whole of your order.
