About Jean Rasbridge, Managing Director of the Disabled Shop

Jean was originally  trained as a translator. However, after having her family, for many years Jean was a successful designer and sales person.  This developed into running her own businesses in home consumer related fields. She originally had the the idea for the DisabledShop when she was unable to use a salt grinder because of severe arthritis in her wrists – and could not  find a suitable alternative on the net.

Frustration at being unable to get the products she needed lead her to start a business supplying online disability products on the net (learning new computer skills in the process!) – and a business which prides itself on providing a huge and ever-expanding range of products.

Jean, who is also a mother and a grandmother, thoroughly enjoys trying to source new products to help people with difficulties to manage everyday life more easily.  Many returning customers are welcomed as friends, and their input is always valued.
