I wish I could find a store that supplied silky pajama pants, tank tops, camisoles and wristt warmers.

Silky pants ($10) with a small print would be great - they make it easier to slide around and reposition in bed - without causing further injury.

Tank tops and camisoles are great, because sleeves tend to become twisted.

To keep feet warm, wrist warmers are great to wear around the ankles, because socks tend to become twisted.

Hi Denise,

I've had very bad sciatic pain most of this year. It is due to an injury 6 years ago. Much worse these past two months. Could not move for 3 weeks. The MRI is in June, 8 months away from when I recently re-injured. Ugh!

Best thing for it is move! I started with stretching , slow short painful walks and am now back to jogging in under 4 weeks. Yes, painful at first but it works. The body can heal itself and you can teach it where. The other option for me was spinal fusion, which I didn't want.

Wish you well! -Nick

My wife, Anne, and I are intending to spend two or three weeks in England during May 2012. I use a compact, non-tilt etc, power wheelchair to get around and need my wife to push me into the bathroom on a commode chair due to my weak right arm and shoulder joint. I can still do easy transfers without a lifting hoist. Can you help me find out more details about hiring a campervan that is wheelchair accessible plus any information on wheelchair accessible accommodation at a reasonable price close to London would be greatly appreciated. Also, I would be interested in finding out about London youth hostels. Thanks for your help, Tony

Sorry to leave an unrelated comment, but I couldn't find any contact information from you. My name is Emily Matthews, and I'm very interested in contributing to your site - I think I have a great idea for a post about ballroom dancing and Alzheimer's that your readers might like. I'd love to discuss them further with you, and hope to hear from you soon.

A belated many congratulations to the winners, especially Linda! Your entry was touching, excellent, and beautiful. Thank you to the judge for your comments and for selecting me as a runnerup, and to The Disabled Shop blog for running the competition.

Part of the reason I'm commenting all these months later is because in April I received an email asking for my order of preference for the prizes. I replied a few days later, but I haven't heard anything since then. I was wondering if my email hit a spam filter or something, as my original "I'm entering the competition" email was somehow mislaid, too. Perhaps emails from the US to England can catch on snags I haven't thought of, though I'm sure I don't know why they would.

I kept thinking I should come over here and inquire... so I finally am. I don't know if this is the best place to ask about it, but at least it isn't email. Thanks!
